LAWI Engineering is proud to actively making the Fiji Islands green again

LAWI has won the bid to be the technology partner and EP supplier for a 12 MW biomass power plant project Nabou Green Energy in the Western Division of the Fiji islands. By today “Fiji is heavily dependent on imported fossil fuel for producing energy, fuel and transportation. This investment is timely for energy security" says the Agricultural Minister Lieutenant Colonel Inia Seruiratu at the ground breaking ceremony.

The Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA) is aiming to provide clean and affordable energy solutions to Fiji with at least 90% of the energy requirements through renewable resources" says Mr. Sang Sun the CEO of Nabou Green Energy and “we selected LAWI technology to assure a reliable energy generation from a huge variety of different biomass sources available in the country”.

The project is led and financed by GS Power from Korea and LAWI has contracted the entire LAWI EtaPlant® boiler island including the power plant distributed control system.
